Switzerland - not as expensive as its reputation, but just as stunning as can be! We start with two nights in lakeside Geneva. Then it’s the Goldenpass rail line, whose panoramic cars run from Lake Geneva to Lake Lucerne, passing through stunning alpine scenery all the way, three times climbing to over 1000m, and passing no less than 8 lakes during its 5-hour trip. It skirts the millionaires' resort of Gstaad and goes through the Brunig Pass. We stop just short of Lake Lucerne at our second lakeside centre in Meiringen near Sherlock Holmes' Reichenbach falls, where we enjoy true Swiss Hospitality for five nights. There is an included tour to Lucerne.
